Maintenance services vary depending on the vehicle and manufacturer. Your owner’s manual will have all the data you need to know when it’s time to have the vehicle brought to a shop for maintenance work.

• Oil filter – You should change your oil filter every 3,000 to 4,000 miles.
• Fluids – Routinely check all fluids in your vehicle. This includes power steering, brake, transmission/transaxle, antifreeze, and windshield wiper solvent. All these fluids play a vital role in ensuring a safe ride.
• Tires – Check to see if the tires are properly inflated. Your vehicle will lose fuel efficiency if the tires are underinflated, so be sure to check them at least once a month. This is the least expensive type of preventive maintenance for your vehicle.
• Engine tuning – Spark plugs that are defective (as well as fuel injectors that are restricted) will reduce fuel efficiency by up to 30%. Make sure your engine is properly tuned.
• Chassis lubrication – The life of your vehicle's moving components in the suspension system can be extended by simply lubricating the chassis.
• Clean the battery posts and cables – Check for corrosion at the posts of the battery along with the cables and clean off the debris. Unless you have a maintenance-free battery, always check to see if there's enough battery fluid.
• Check the lighting system – You need to check the turn signals, headlights, brake lights, and tail lights frequently to ensure everything is in working order.
• Check the windshield wipers – Wiper blades need to be checked for cracks, rips, and whether or not the blades are making contact with the windshield. If they start to streak, they need to be replaced ASAP. It usually helps to replace wiper blades annually or sooner if streaking begins.
• Check the engine belts – It's essential to look for any signs of wear and tear on the belts. If the timing belt breaks, the entire engine will need to be replaced, so always check for cracks, deterioration, or missing sections/segments.
• Check the air filtration system – Whenever you get an oil change (or at least every other oil change), the air filter should be inspected for damage and/or clogging. The air system ensures that your car or truck is performing the way it should.
